　ウルガソーア（oor-gah-THO-ahと発音する）[1]がかつては人間であった、という伝承がある。“偉大なる彼方Great Beyond”における初めてのアンデッド・クリーチャーになることで、彼女は死んですぐに“ファラズマの骨庭Pharasma's Boneyard”から逃げ出しゴラリオンに帰還したという話がいくつも伝えられている。彼女はアンデッド、闇の死霊術士、アンデッドになることを望む者に崇拝されている。病気になった者の中にはウルガソーアに捧げものをするものもいる。[2]

崇拝者

　ウルガソーアのプリーストは、その敵に自分の死んだ同僚を無理矢理食べさせることで知られる。[3]ウルガソーアの崇拝者の儀礼服はゆったりとしており、床まで届くほどの長さの灰色のチュニックで、白か灰色のケープが付いている。チュニックの下半分は通常ボロボロに引き裂かれている。ほとんどの儀式では、大量の食べ物と飲み物の消費を伴う。ウルガソーアの神殿は祝祭用のホールを原型としており、供物台としての機能を持つ大きな机が置かれている。一般に神殿は墓場の近くか遺体安置所の上に置かれる――いずれの場合であっても、それらをグールが根城としている。彼女の聖典は『汝の飢えを饗せよServing Your Hunger』と名付けられている。

　ウルガソーアの女性のクレリックには、“ウルガソーアの娘たち”として知られる、死後アンデッド・クリーチャーに変じた者たちがいる。[2]

外見

　一般にウルガソーアは色っぽいが青白い肌をした、黒髪の女性として描かれる。ほとんどの美しさとは裏腹に、腰から下の彼女の肉は腐り萎えていく。臀部より下の部位は血だるまの骸骨となっている。

There are stories that suggest that Urgathoa (pronounced oor-gah-THO-ah)[1] was once human, but once she died she fled Pharasma's Boneyard and returned to Golarion, making her the Great Beyond's first undead creature. She is worshipped by undead, dark necromancers and those wishing to become undead. Some people who become sick make offerings to Urgathoa. [2]

Worshipers

Priests of Urgathoa have been known to compel their enemies to eat their own fallen comrades.[3] The ceremonial clothes of Urgathoa's worshippers are a loose, floor-length, grey tunic, with a white or grey cape. The lower half of the tunic is usually shredded. Most ceremonies involve consuming great amounts of food and drink. Urgathoa's temples are modeled after feast-halls, with a large table serving as an altar. Usually temples are near a graveyard, over a crypt, both of which are inhabited by ghouls. Her sacred text is entitled Serving Your Hunger.

Some female clerics of Urgathoa are transformed after death into undead creatures known as the Daughters of Urgathoa.[2]

Appearance
Urgathoa is generally depicted as an attractive, pale-skinned, and ebony-haired woman. Unlike most other beauties, at her waist, her flesh begins to rot and wither away, leaving her as little more than a blood-soaked skeleton from the hips down.
